DIY Cactus Body Pillow

One of our favorite DIY projects ever was this giant cactus body pillow Sheca made for Leah some years back (we eventually sold it and now she's wishing we hadn't) -- I think I'll make another one soon.

Here's a list of materials used:

Green velvet fabric (I used 2 1/2 yds)

Green yarn (I used a wool blend)

Body Pillow

Standard Pillow

Quick tips

I cut the body and standard pillows opened to use the stuffing from them when making the cactus.

Draw a pattern using scrap fabric ior paper before you trace onto your actual velvet.

You could sew this by hand but I used a machine to make the pillow.
